Membership of the Supporters Association's Hall of Fame is one of the most prestigious honours the club can bestow. Chosen by a panel of fans, the accolade is given to five players or officials each year, with an extra discretionary place for someone not directly linked to the club who has devoted themselves to its service.
Just have a look down the page to see which great servants have been honoured, and click on their portraits to learn more about them.
Every year a Hall of Fame evening is held as well; click <a href="page:// 110:1sthof"> to relive the inaugural get-together in 2002.
Entry is not restricted to players; anyone who has made a great contribution to the club in any capacity, from administrator to manager to supporter, can be considered.
Some of the names are rather obvious, as a club like Wrexham will always rely on the Herculean efforts of individuals whose loyalty and desire to see the club represent the local community successfully will enable it to out-perform larger, more illustrious opponents.
Some names will provoke a great deal more debate, however! There are always many difficult decisions to be made and tricky issues to be considered before a member is selected. How do you compare performances across the eras? How can a player’s entire career be assessed, when slumps of form are measured against the good times? How many non-players should be included? Should a short, spectacular spell at The Racecourse be recognised as much as a long, steady period of service to the club?
Who would you come up with? It’s certainly something to ponder over a pint after the match!
